I’d keep the jumperoo in its box. I had one and its massive! Takes up too much room but will be heaven sent when your baby is about 6 months old! (they have to be able to sit up to use it if i remember?!?!

First of all, congratulations :) Its best to avoid the unnecessary clutter and keep things packed away until baby will need it. I have a storage box with all the bigger clothes/toys for our little one and have stored it in the spare room.

You probably just want have everything out that you’ll need for the first month or so out (clothes, linen, toys, etc) because babies outgrow everything so quickly. You don’t want to have everything lying around when you don’t need it yet. Thats just my opinion anyway.

I suggest taking it out of the box to check if everything is not broken or missing. At least you can return or exchange it if there’s anything wrong with it. Then you can always put it back in the box & storage it.
I would also clean the surfaces of the things he’ll touch or play with. There may be chemicals & or germs on them, you just dont know how these toys were kept before assembling.

We only set up what we would need immediately. Kept the jumparoo, saucer, toys etc packed away. His room had books and baby toys, but nothing more.
I put together the playmat but had that in his closet for a while until he needed it.
We did use the highchair from the start- had it in recline position and would lay him in it while cooking, wheeled it into the bathroom when showering, etc. It was SO convenient!!
I also had only 0-3 month clothes in his dresser/closet and had the rest separated in boxes by size and would just bring those out when needed and switched out the smaller ones.
    Congrats!!

Yes..about 3 months before. No it’s best to assemble everything before hand anyway..when baby comes..you’ll be too tired to do anything

no i didn’t because i knew many people who set up the baby stuff before and had problems and either ended up with a still birth or bay passing away before leaving the hospital, my husband set everything up while i was in the hospital…. good thing too because i have many comp. and my baby and i almost didn’t make it. so you can say its like bad luck call what you what but i seen it with my own eyes soo i believe in it.

For things like that, definatley keep them packed up and stored away until you are ready to use them. I would just have the nursery all set up, ect and wash the clothes and have them ready to go. Other then that, you will have plenty of time in the months leading up to being able to use those types of toys. :)
